Fat makes you fat.


Excess calories make you fat. While fat has more calories per gram (9 calories) than carbs and protein (4 calories), if you pack an extra calories into your diet it’s not going to matter if those calories come from butter, pasta or alcohol. Fat needs to be included in a healthy well-balanced diet. Best types of fats include monounsaturated or polyunsaturated fat found in avocado, nuts, Omega-3 fats derived from fish and flax, and oils like olive, canola, corn, sunflower, and soy oils.
